Hiện tại đơn và hiện tại hoàn thành trong mệnh đề chỉ tương lai

(present simple and present perfect in future clauses)

Clause (mệnh đề ) = S + V

Trong các mệnh đề muốn nói đến tương lai thì bắt đầu với các từ chỉ thời gian:

When = khi

Until = cho đến khi

Before = trước khi

After = sau khi

As soon as = ngay khi

Cấu trúc câu

Time clause + main clause

Time clause: present simple, hoặc present perfect

Khi muốn nhấn mạnh hành động trong time clause được hoàn thành trước hành động trong main clause thì dùng present perfect

Main clause: will hoặc be going to

When he comes, we will see him.

When + present simple, S + will

(Khi anh ta đến, chúng ta sẽ gặp anh ta.)

We will not leave here until he has finished work.

S + will, until + present perfect

(Chúng ta sẽ không rời đây cho đến khi anh ta xong việc.)

Before she goes to school, she is going to have breakfast.

(Trước khi cô ta đến trường, cô ta định sẽ ăn sáng.)

They are going to go to bed after they have watched TV.

(Họ định sẽ đi lên giường sau khi họ xem tivi.)

As soon as the taxi arrives, I will go to the airport.

(Ngay khi taxi đến, tôi sẽ đi ra sân bay.)

Put the correct form of the verbs in the brackets in future clauses

1. She is going to go home in an hour. She (finish)      will/ is going to finish   her work before she (go) goes            home.
2. I’m going to have dinner at 7:30. After I (have)                      dinner, I (watch,)                    TV.
3. They’ll come home late. When they (get)                  home, they (call)                    me.
4. He’s going to go to the cinema. Before he (go)                     to the cinema, he (finish)                   his report.
5. Rachel will come to her office soon. We (wait)                     for her here until she (come)                          .
6. I think it will stop raining soon. As soon as the rain (stop)                 , we (go)                     for walk in the park.
7. I (be)                           a long way from home when I (be)                at university.
8. As soon as she (tell)               us the truth, we (find)                         out who they are.
9.  After he (come)                     home, he (cook)                     dinner for us.
10. I (lend)                                    you the book when I (finish)              it.
